Every Impact100 chapter begins with someone raising her hand.
She has heard about the model. She understands what a transformational grant could mean in her community. She begins imagining the women who might join her and the nonprofits whose work could be accelerated.
Then the practical questions arrive.
How do we organize? How do we recruit the first members? How should the grant process work? What policies do we need? How do we protect the model while responding to the character of our own community?
Enthusiasm propels the chapter, and support helps it succeed.
This reality is supported by current research. Giving Together, a 2026 research study from Philanthropy Australia, concludes that collective giving has reached an inflection point. The movement has proven its value, but its future growth depends on shared infrastructure, coordination, operational support, and sustainable capacity.
Trust For Civic Life 2025 study named The Local Advantage finds that locally embedded organizations are especially powerful because they possess the relationships and knowledge required to solve local problems and build trust.
Impact100 needs both truths.
We see these findings come to life through Impact100. Our chapters must remain locally rooted. The women in a community understand its people, culture, nonprofits, and needs. They must be able to make their own grant decisions and build a chapter that reflects the place they call home.
At the same time, local leadership should not mean learning alone.
Impact100 Global exists to connect the wisdom of the entire movement.
A lesson learned in Australia may help a chapter in the United States. A membership idea developed in one community may inspire leaders in another. A difficult leadership transition can become guidance that makes the next transition easier somewhere else.
Knowledge becomes more valuable when it is shared. This is the relationship between Impact100 Global and our chapters.
Local chapters create the impact. Impact100 Global helps create the conditions in which that impact can grow and endure.
We provide tools, training, technology, coaching, community, and institutional memory. We help leaders understand not simply how the model works, but why its essential elements matter.
Most importantly, we remind chapter leaders that they are not alone.
Someone else has faced the challenge. Someone else has developed a solution. Someone else is willing to share what she learned.
That is how a collection of local organizations becomes a movement.
Our roots remain deeply local, and Impact100 Global is here to support the community every step of the way.
